Kay Bojesen Denmark Datti The Girl Skier

£65.00

Description

Kay Bojesen designed The Skiers towards the end of the 1940's. The happy girl skier with her rosy red cheeks and big smile is called Datti, the pet-name Kay Bojesen gave his daughter-in-law Ruth (married to his son Otto).

“Datti” and “Boje” are immensely human with their intense eyes, energetic body language and smart skis, standing at the ready anywhere in the home – on the windowsill, desk or bookshelf.

The colourful, hand-painted beechwood figure is sure to make an eye-catching interior design statement, and "Datti's" adorable hat and becoming ski outfit bring her alive with Nordic folklore.
