Kay Bojesen Denmark Marine
Description
Kay Bojesen was inspired by several uniformed agencies, which can be seen in the Standard Bearer and Policeman, among other figurines.
The original Marine figurine has a charming expression with a slimmer silhouette and the hat at a jaunty angle. The dark blue uniform, the slanted hat, and the striped scarf make for a beautiful maritime look.
Kay Bojesen went on a voyage, and on his way, he sailed as the only registered passenger on a Russian cargo ship named Minsk. Reflecting on his experience with the sailors, he once remarked, "They all became my friends, and the ship became my home.'"
